Hi, I’m Vennesa I am a bit of a 90’s Alternative kid from way back..
I grew up in the thick of the Brisbane music scene and my passion for music and live music events has never died. I have lived in Bowen for a few years now and I absolutely adore this beautiful little gem of a town.
Hosting the Alternative Goodness Session gives me a great outlet to fully indulge myself in some great indie/alternative music and share it with anyone who wants to listen. I try to follow everything new and cool that’s happening within the Australian alternative music scene.
I’m always keeping track of bands doing regional tours and try to catch all the good bands at live shows that come our way.. Despite all the Covid chaos, I am still finding some great localised events to attend and seeing some great live music in the Whitsunday region.
The Alternative Goodness Session is all about sharing and promoting upcoming original, artists, Alternative music and live music events in and around the surrounding areas of the Whitsundays. The show promotes upcoming independent artists, new album releases, regional tours and localised music festivals. Keeping everyone up to date with what’s new and who coming past performing in our local area. The Alternative Goodness Session doesn’t really have any set genre it focuses less on mainstream artists and is more about sharing and promoting talented and emerging indie/alternative artists who are creating some great new music in Australia and beyond.
